I have been trying out the MAX Fitness Pro Band – BOOST that I ordered through Avon UK about 4-5 days ago. This is quite similar to the Fitbit Alta, which I have used before.
I was going to spend £90 on the well-known gadget but I thought I’d try this version and I only paid £30 for it. It does have mixed reviews so I thought I would try it for myself and share my own thoughts. So far I love it! It’s light, comfortable to wear and does everything I want it to.
It has an adjustable strap, it’s splash resistant, it has a 5 day battery life, 3 days memory, vibrating alarm, it counts calories, distance, steps taken and monitors sleep. I put it on charge for the 3 hours as instructed and I haven’t had to charge it since, which is great. The only flaw I have found with this product so far was its instruction booklet. It isn’t very useful.
I searched YouTube and came across a short video with the instructions on how to set it up and it’s pretty easy. If you have an iPhone or an Android phone you can download the app and sync the device so you can keep track of your steps, distance, calories burnt, and sleep. The app is really easy to use. Once you’ve synced the device to the app, you can set up your weight, height and goals.
All the information from the device is synced to the app and is stored there. It gives you a breakdown of the day, week, month and year.
So far so good! Have you tried this Fitbit alternative? Let me know.
