Today marks 7 days of Blogtober! I want to share with you my experience of writing for 7 days straight as a new blogger. I joined the blogging community in September 2017. I’ve been blogging for just over a month now and I’ve learnt so much already. I’ve always struggled to write down my thoughts but I find I am able to express myself verbally with ease. Saying that; I’ve learned I have a passion for writing. It’s been a pleasure so far.
So these are my reasons why I chose to join in with Blogtober 2017…
- I knew other bloggers would be participating and I really wanted to get on board. I wanted to take part in something that is quite exciting and new for me.
- I’m obsessed with October! I love everything about it. It’s finally Autumn which I adore, it feels like home.
- Halloween! It’s a big part of my life. I live for it.
Blogging has always been something I wanted to do, I just didn’t know how to go about it. So I felt Blogtober17 would be a great place to start.
Little did I know it would actually test me as a person and a blogger. It has taught me that I need to plan and prepare for future posts. That I have to be organised and schedule posts in advance. I was staying awake until 2am writing for the following day. It has been a very stressful and exhausting week, but it has also been rewarding!
The community of bloggers is a strong one. I have come across some wonderful bloggers who are friendly and inspiring. I have also come across bloggers who struggle. So I know I’m not the only one trying to find my place.
Sadly I will not be continuing with Blogtober17 because I am overwhelmed and unorganised. I know that those of you who have learnt this lesson will be aware of the struggles and sacrifices put into these projects and all I can say to you is bravo!!
I will continue to post weekly, please keep an eye out!
Until then. Thank you for reading.
