I’m a mum of one hyperactive toddler and so bedtime isn’t always as simple as it seems. Before I can even focus on myself, I have to go through 20 different things! Tantrums, helping him brush his teeth, singing nursery rhymes (with the actions) and then he needs a drink about 15 times…the list goes on.
So, let’s get to it.
1.) Describe your usual bedtime routine.
I put the radio on and run a hot bath. Then I apply a fresh face mask from Lush. I use Catastrophe Cosmetic. This is a calming and soothing face mask with blueberries. 2.) What are your favourite pyjamas?
Pyjamas became a thing of the past when i became a mum. My favourite at the moment is a long white t-shirt with the word feminist across it. I plan on buying a few sets of pyjamas for Christmas. Simply Be have an amazing range this year and my heart is set on Elf Christmas Legging Set for £26.00.
3.) What is your current bedtime read?
I’m currently reading Tess Holliday The Not So Subtle Art of Being a Fat Girl: Loving the Skin You’re In. I have two chapters left. I have already learnt quite a few valuable life lessons.

Tess is very honest and inspiring woman. I can’t recommend this book enough, everyone should read it no matter what shape, size or sex you are.
4.) What would I find on your bedside table?
A bedside lamp, a large tinned candle from Primark, a framed photo of my son. I usually leave my phone on there too.
5.) What scent makes you sleepy?
Lavender. Anything with this scent makes me feel sleepy. I know it’s one of those scents that you either love or hate. It’s like marmite. It’s not for everyone.
6.) What is your usual bedtime and wake-up time?
At the moment my bedtime is currently around midnight but I’m working on getting myself into a routine. It’s really easy to fall behind on routines and late bedtimes become an unhealthy habit. I usually wake up around 7.30am, my son is my alarm clock.
7.) What are your top three bedtime products?
- Avon Planet Spa Sleep Serenity Pillow Mist. The Lavender & Chamomile scent isn’t heavy. I use it all over my home especially on those days when I need help relaxing.

- Radox Bath Soak with Lavender and Waterlilly is amazing. If you like having bubble baths before you go to sleep, drop a cap full into your bath. A little does go a long way. It smells lovely, after a long soak in this you will definitely feel relaxed. What’s even better is it’s only a £1.00.
8.) What is your most common sleeping position?
On my left side, I can’t sleep any other way. I know I move around while I’m sleeping so I end up star fishing anyway.
9.) Do you have anything you like to take to bed with you?
No, but I do have a slight pillow obsession. My bed is packed full of different pillows. I think they make my room feel warm and welcoming.
10.) What is your worst bedtime habit?
That has to be looking at my phone if I wake up at night, I’ll stay on it for 30 odd minutes and think I’ve only been on it for 2. It takes me hours to fall back to sleep. It’s a horrible habit that I really want to get out of.
